GRDI2020 @ ICT2010

Scientific Data Infrastructures - Empowering research in the data-driven Age
ICT Connects, 27-29 September 2010
Launched in 2007 under the Capacities programme of FP7, the Scientific Data e-Infrastructure (SDI) domain complements investments made by European Commission in synergy with the EU Member States in different domains of e-Infrastructures. The Stand showcases the focus and current outcomes of ten SDI projects supported by the EU - D4Science-II, DRIVER II, GENESI-DR, GeoSeas, HELIO, IMPACT, METAFOR, OpenAIRE, PARSE.Insight and SEALS, spanning multiple-user communities and scientific disciplines, such as astronomy, biology, climate change, earth sciences, fisheries, federated repositories, and virtual research environments. The Stand is co-ordinated by GRDI2020, which is defining a Roadmap to enable Europe to address the data challenge as burgeoning amounts of experimental data pose new problems related to storage, management, preservation and interoperability.
