Come join the second edition of the TREX School on QMC with TurboRVB (#TurboRVBschool) taking place on 4-8 July 2022 physically at Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy, organised by SISSA and TREX project.
Quantum Monte Carlo methods belong to one of the most accurate families of numerical approaches for materials and electronic structure calculations. Moreover, the steady increase of computer power in HPC machines is very much suitable for the development and usage of stochastic ab initio methods, which – besides the high precision – are parallelizable and enjoy a favorable scaling with the system size.
This year’s edition will be held in five exciting days, which consists of keynote presentations, lectures, and hands-on tutorials and applications coming from our HPC experts within the TREX project. The team plans to fill the gap in training good young students in QMC using the TurboRVB code. TREX project and SISSA are inviting young students/researchers who are already experienced in the field. It will be a great event to learn TurboRVB code for QMC applications and tutorials. And, this time, to meet your peers and colleagues in person.
Selected students will have to organise and cover the costs of their own travel arrangements, while accommodation and food during the summer school will be covered by the TREX project.
All participants are encouraged to take part in our poster competition where you can present results and ongoing activities at the Workshop.
The winner will be able to become a visiting student for one week at the SISSA in Trieste (IT) and Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Paris (FR) with food and accommodation covered by the TREX project.
Posters will be showcased and presented in the lunch and coffee break areas throughout the school days. All submitted posters will be published on the TREX website.
Please fill out the online form to submit a poster. The deadline for poster submission is 26 June 2022 at 17:00 CEST.
Trust-IT is in charge of the activities of communication and dissemination. Trust-IT co-organised this event as one of the event committees, promoting the event in an omnichannel way, communicating with the registered participants, collecting information and material that could be helpful to disseminate to raise awareness of the project's activities, and creating this post-event report. We provided also IT support during the event taking care of the recording, and giving everyone the possibility to rewatch the event or watch the highlights.
Engaging your strategic community to ensure the uptake of research solutions requires a structured approach, deep analytical skills, and the design and implementation of communication and engagement plans made up of a mix of techniques and tools. Trust-IT can give you all the support that you need to make this happen.
If you need to identify and build the perfect audience for your research activity, boost your community and organise virtual and live events, contact us, we would be happy to help.
