Horizon Results Booster - Steering research towards a strong societal impact

05 Feb 2021

Trust-IT Services has embarked on a challenging and exciting new adventure called the Horizon Results Booster, coordinated by META-Group and involving, together with Trust-IT Services, other three partners: BDO Italy, ECORYS, ICONS and PNO consultants as subcontractor.

The project follows on from the Common Dissemination Booster (CDB), which Trust-IT coordinated from Sep 2017 to Jun 2019, demonstrating the great potential European Research and Innovation (R&I) projects have when they are clustered for the purpose of carrying out joint dissemination activities.

Once again, actors from different countries and sectors will bring together the different competencies already demonstrated with the success of the pilot project CDB, this time in a new package of three specialised services delivered to all ongoing and closed FP7 and H2020 projects at no cost and fully supported by the European Commission.

The services are conceived to maximise the impact of R&I public investment and further amplify the added value of the Framework Programmes (FPs), helping to bring a continual stream of innovation to the market and beyond.

Our role

Trust-IT is proud to use its ICT market research and communication and engagement strategies expertise to deliver the Portfolio Dissemination services (Service 1, Module A and Module B).

Module A: Identification and creation of the portfolio of R&I project results

Currently, thanks to this module, we have been able to successfully support more than 27 project groups in the identification of similar ongoing (funded by EU, national or regional initiatives) projects to join forces, creation of their results portfolio and exploration of other opportunities for the dissemination of their project’s assets.

Each portfolio will also be associated with a mapping of relevant stakeholders to engage with to maximise the impact of the dissemination.

Module A is made up of the following activities: Identification of similar projects to form a project group, Identification of portfolio results and mapping of relevant Stakeholders.

Module B: Portfolio Dissemination Plan (design and execution)

Module B helps each project group (PG) to design a common dissemination plan for the identified results portfolio, which includes, among many interesting activities, also a short video describing the project results!

The activities included are: Design of a joint dissemination plan, creation of graphic material for joint activities, capacity building to improve your communication and dissemination skills and support on the execution of the Portfolio Dissemination Plan.

HRB in numbers

The HRB Module A is already supporting a set of engaged project clusters in the creation of their projects group and stakeholder mapping activities.

Starting from the initial 36 individual projects applicants, we have been able to connect in project groups a total of 186 research projects, of which 179 have joined the HRB workspace that Trust-IT Services has developed to carry out the Module A activities.
