Cloud Security Expo

On 15-16 March, London’s ExCeL will host the Cloud Security Expo event, an unmissable date for all those operating in the cloud technology field –both security professionals and IT decision makers.

Besides the over 80 leading suppliers and 150 experts, many EU projects will preside over the event, all belonging to the EC’s Cluster on Data Protection, Security and Privacy (DPSP) that works together on challenges related to the Free Flow of Data for the European Digital Single Market. Trust-IT will be at the event at stand 1239 as EU projects CloudWATCH2 and CLARUS are part of the DPSP Cluster -together with 6 other ones- to demonstrate reinforced European leadership in cloud computing with a focus on enhanced security and privacy, boosting trust and confidence of consumers, as well as public and private sector organisations.
CloudWATCH2, which offers a pan-European cloud observatory for the EU internal market, helping build trust in cloud computing, will be presenting its free tools and guides available on the website to help SMEs, Public Authorities and R&D initiatives to strategically plan their use of cloud services increasing benefits, lowering risk and maximising security.

CLARUS will be showcasing its innovations in security-enabling techniques, attack-tolerant systems and in new architectures for secure delivery in the cloud. Representatives from AKKA and OFFIS will be on hand to show CLARUS in Action with demos and a video of its security-enabling techniques, attack-tolerant systems and in new architectures for secure delivery in the cloud. Practical implementations include geospatial data and e-health. Moreover, information security professionals, and especially security managers, will learn how CLARUS uses a privacy-by-design to ensure users of cloud services are in the driving seat when it comes to controlling their data.
