Trust-IT's CEO Silvana Muscella on Cloud Tools & Services at ICT Proposers’ day

Today, 26th September 2016, Trust-IT's CEO Silvana Muscella will discuss about the crucial topic of employing Cloud Tools and services at the ICT Proposers’ day, the European Commission’s networking event promoting European ICT Research & Innovation and focusing on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme for 2016-17.
Public authorities, businesses & research communities all over the world continuously produce and manage a huge amount of data. This source of information produces new exciting possibilities for the academic and research community.
 
Scientists and researchers have to be able to share and re-use this knowledge in order to exploit their work results and open new innovation and growth possibilities.
 
These opportunities have not yet been fully exploited due to difficulties in accessing, sharing, and ensuring interoperability and re-usability of data. A further problem is the lack of trust and security related to cloud services that delay the adoption of cloud in the aforementioned community.
 
According to the challenges posed by the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative, SLA-READY, CloudWATCH2 and PICSE Coordination & Support Action (CSA) projects have developed several, useful, free cloud based tools and services that can be adapted in order to support scientists and academics.
