Your views from Cloudscape VII

The seventh edition of Cloudscape was held this year in Brussels on 9-10 March.

Trust-IT spearheaded this high-profile workshops series back in 2009 as coordinators of the then OGF-Europe project.

Since then Cloudscape has been successfully transformed into the popular self-sustained event that it is now.

Cloudscape VII gathered over 150 participants from all over the world: researchers, policy maker, Start-Ups, SMEs, industry players and top EU and US institutions joined the wokshop to have their say and shaping future actions on boosting entrepreneurship, showing off innovative services and projects, taking a common course of action on new technological issues like cybersecurity and data protection.

Here’s some partecipant’s testimonial from Cloudscape VII:

Very clever, appropriate and correct questions and observations from the audience.

Coming to CloudScape always provides me with great opportunities to compare notes on topics of interest with my European colleagues and to work with them on cooperative ventures” – Alain Sill, OGF

"We were very happy with the participation at the workshop. They were all very interested in the MARKOS platform and its support for open source software developers.  We had a lively and useful discussion in  a familiar atmosphere.  I felt like we've known each other for year." – Thomas Gordon, Fraunhofer & Coordinator MARKOS

Cloudscape for me is the one conference where the leaders in technology can meet with the leaders of policy from the European Commission for a two way conversation.  Not only the sessions themselves, but also all of the ‘corridor conversations’ are really helping bring people together and inform them." –  Joe Baguley, CTO EMEA,VMware
