Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment and Labs Open Info Day

17 Mar 2023

The Blue-Cloud project is organising a Virtual Research Environment and Labs Open Info Day to showcase the latest advancements in marine research and data management. The event is scheduled to take place on 17 March, and it will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about the Blue-Cloud infrastructure, the tools and services available, and how they can be used to support marine research.

The Blue-Cloud Virtual Research Environment is a cloud-based platform that provides researchers with access to marine data, analytics tools, and computing resources. The platform is designed to facilitate collaboration between scientists and enable them to work together on large-scale research projects.

During the Open Info Day, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the different components of the Blue-Cloud infrastructure, including the Virtual Research Environment, the Blue-Cloud Catalogue, and the Blue-Cloud Gateway. They will also be able to see demonstrations of the tools and services available, including data visualization tools, machine learning algorithms, and collaborative workspaces.

The event is open to researchers, scientists, data managers, and other stakeholders in the marine research community. Participants will be able to interact with experts from the Blue-Cloud project and ask questions about the platform and its capabilities.
The Blue-Cloud project is a collaborative initiative funded by the European Union and coordinated by the National Research Council of Italy. Its mission is to build a digital infrastructure for the ocean research community that enables seamless access to data, computing resources, and tools. The project is committed to supporting the sustainable use of the ocean and promoting marine conservation.
