Building the HSbooster.eu Standardisation Training Academy

Description

Standardisation and standards can be valuable means for the transfer, commercialization, and valorization of research results of the EC-funded H2020 and Horizon Europe projects. However, processes of standardization and activities of research projects have different dynamics, and general awareness of standardization among researchers is low. This workshop aims to gather academia, standardization professionals, and experts to discuss their experiences and lesson learned in standardisation training. Furthermore, this workshop will raise the question of serving the needs of EU projects in training standardisation skills – what skills are needed and how they can be improved.

• Standardisation experts with experience in Training and Education
• EC-funded H2020 and Horizon Europe projects with an interest in standardisation.
• Policy makers and decision makers.
• Representatives from ESOs, NSBs and SDOs.

Our role

COMMpla Srl, supported by its affiliate entity Trust-IT coordinates the HSBooster.eu Project, where it is able to draw on its over 15 years of experience in the coordination of EC-funded projects and considerable insight and expertise gained in the Standardisation landscape, as coordinator of the StandICT,eu CSA funded under the H2020 and Horizon Europe programmes. 

COMMpla will also roll out the HSbooster.eu Service Facility, which will serve 1,000+ projects/organisations through 5 Open Calls and provide feedback on the services received.
Finally, it leads activities on the project's communication, dissemination & exploitation, and impact monitoring. In the specific instance of the event, the team will help to:

• Shape the agenda.
• Recruit relevant participants through social media engagement and newsletter campaigns.
• Develop graphic materials (website, social media and newsletter banners, and a set of social media cards customised to the speakers).
