Innovating education for a changing world
For this International Day of Education, Trust-IT celebrates the transformative power of learning and our contributions to advancing education across Europe. Education serves as a catalyst for societal progress, equipping individuals with the tools needed to tackle global challenges and promote sustainability.
This year’s theme, “AI and education: Preserving human agency in a world of automation”, challenges us to reflect on the role of education in empowering individuals to navigate and influence the technological advancements shaping our future. As AI and automation technologies evolve, preserving human agency in decision-making and learning is more important than ever. Trust-IT is dedicated to supporting education initiatives that equip individuals with the skills to understand, adapt, and shape the technology-driven world they will inhabit.
As the communication partner for a wide range of European projects, we bridge the gap between knowledge, innovation, and society. From promoting standardisation to demystifying complex scientific concepts, our initiatives drive meaningful change and inspire the next generation.
Building expertise: EDU4Standards and the power of standardisation
Standardisation is key to innovation and sustainability, yet its integration into education remains limited. EDU4Standards tackles this gap, creating a cutting-edge teaching framework for standardisation across Europe.
With Trust-IT as the communication, dissemination and engagement leader, the project raises awareness on the role of standardisation through Academic Standardisation Days, organised across Europe in cooperation with universities and National Standards Bodies. The initiative also aims to develop engaging educational materials, including support tools for teachers, teaching repositories and teaching concepts to be tested via dedicated pilots, finally leading to the formulation of a CEN Workshop Agreement on the finalised results of the project. In this way, this coordination and support action builds a vibrant community of learners and educators, also via the setup of a Standardisation Students Association. By empowering future leaders with knowledge of standardisation, EDU4Standards is shaping a more competitive and sustainable Europe.
Bringing physics closer to society: The PICO project
Physics is more than just equations — it’s a gateway to understanding the universe and its impact on our daily lives. The PICO project engages all citizens in the wonders of fundamental research, fostering curiosity and awareness of the tangible benefits physics brings to society.
Trust-IT leads PICO’s awareness campaigns, developing webinars, workshops, and interactive events like the European Researchers’ Nights. Intending to reach over 250,000 citizens, PICO is inspiring young minds and strengthening the connection between science and society.
Amplifying research impact: Booster Services
From knowledge to action: the Booster project transforms research results into impactful, real-world solutions. With Trust-IT at the helm of dissemination support, the Booster provides a comprehensive series of free services, including tailored support in dissemination, marketing, business strategy, networking, and public speaking.
This newly launched initiative builds on the success of the Horizon Results Booster, which supported over 250 projects, creating synergies and amplifying their societal impact.
Celebrating open innovation: OSAwards for Open Source excellence
Open Source is revolutionising technology, fostering collaboration, and driving transparency. Through the OSAwards, established by the European Open Source Academy, Trust-IT celebrates pioneers in open-source innovation who are creating accessible solutions for all. Within the OSAwards, the Open Source Skills & Education Award aligns with the International Day of Education, celebrating those who empower individuals through open-source education and strengthen Europe's leadership in technological advancement.
As a key partner, we manage outreach, coordinate with award stakeholders, and amplify the visibility of impactful open-source practices. By recognising excellence, OSAwards not only motivates developers but also strengthens a culture of openness and inclusivity across Europe.
Education as a force for good
At Trust-IT, education is more than a goal — it’s a responsibility. By championing innovative approaches, building strong communities, and amplifying the voices of researchers and learners, we are paving the way for a future where knowledge empowers societies and drives meaningful progress.
On this International Day of Education, we are proud to be part of this global movement and committed to contributing to the development of human skills and critical thinking, especially in the face of rapid technological changes.
Celebrate with us the transformative power of learning and the projects that make it possible.
