With over a decade of experience in EU-funded cybersecurity projects, we pride ourselves in being a strategic facilitator in EU funded efforts around the topics, go-to partner for strategic coordination, cybersecurity training modules, cybersecurity R&I marketplaces, gathering like-minded European stakeholders engagement, impact, and supporting policy measures.
What truly sets Trust-IT apart is its ability to rapidly mobilise a large and influential network of cybersecurity experts across Europe, a community it has progressively built and nurtured over the years through the coordination and active participation in flagship European funded initiatives under the H2020 and Horizon Europe and more recently the Digital Europe programmes such as WISER, CYBERWISER, CYBERWATCHING, StandICT.eu (178 cybersecurity experts funded since 2018), HSbooster (36 EU-funded cybersecurity projects supported), CYBERSTAND.eu (27 cybersecurity experts funded), and INSTAR (19 cybersecurity/eID task force members).
This agile mobilisation is not only efficient, but also deeply effective. Experts who have contributed to StandICT and HSbooster have gone on to support Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) standardisation activities under CYBERSTAND.eu and serve in the INSTAR Cybersecurity/eID Task Force. This seamless cross-project integration strengthens EU cybersecurity policy with real-world insights and targeted expertise.
Over the years, we have been at the heart of some of Europe’s most impactful cybersecurity initiatives, starting with StandICT.eu. Coordinated by Trust-IT across three consecutive editions, this initiative has funded 178 cybersecurity experts to date, enabling them to represent EU interests in international standardisation efforts. This work has led to tangible market impact, such as the development of ISO/IEC 27003, which guides SMEs in implementing robust information security systems, or ISO/IEC 27017 which provides additional security controls and implementation guidance specifically tailored to both Cloud service providers and customers.
Another major milestone has been Cyberwatching.eu, a project coordinated by Trust-IT that played a key role in raising cybersecurity maturity across Europe. Its main legacy is the cybersecurity marketplace, a semantic-based platform that now lives on as part of Cyberhive, the first European matchmaking marketplace built with and for the European cybersecurity market run and managed by ECSO. The platform showcases over 200 European cybersecurity products and services, helping SMEs to increase the visibility of their own solutions and discover the cybersecurity tools they need to strengthen their digital defences.
Since 2016, we have also contributed to high-level policy dialogues as a member of the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO), strengthening its strategic position in shaping the future of cybersecurity in Europe.
Further demonstrating our impact, we have coordinated the HSbooster.eu project, which supported the uptake of EU research results in standardisation, ensuring knowledge transfer from research to policy, and helping cybersecurity innovations feed directly into evolving standards. In particular, by supporting 36 EU-funded cybersecurity projects in transferring their research results into standardisation activities.
CYBERSTAND.eu, is an EU-funded project that exemplifies our role in reinforcing Europe’s readiness to face emerging regulatory challenges. Coordinated by Trust-IT alongside ETSI, CEN-CENELEC, ECSO and Digital SME Alliance, The project funds cybersecurity standardisation experts to contribute to the development of standards in support of the Cyber Resilience Act, reinforcing Europe’s regulatory preparedness.
Building on our European efforts, we expand our reach on the international stage through the INSTAR project, where we lead the INSTAR Cybersecurity and Digital Identity Task Force. Trust-IT draws on its extensive network of EU cybersecurity experts to enrich the task force’s activities and support collaboration between INSTAR and relevant entities in Canada, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore. This approach aligns EU digital priorities with global developments and amplifies Europe's influence in international Cybersecurity and Digital Identity discussions.
With a strong foundation built on impact-driven projects, a vibrant cybersecurity standardisation expert community, and deep knowledge of EU policy dynamics, Trust-IT is a strategic asset in advancing Europe’s cybersecurity and digital identity ambitions.
Our role goes beyond coordination: it ensures that policies are shaped by hands-on expertise, innovations reach the market, and EU and international standards reflect European values.
