HSbooster.eu webinar: Standardisation in the Health Sector: A Deep Dive into the Future of Healthcare

The EU-funded project HSbooster.eu offers expert consultancy services to streamline the integration of European R&I projects with standardisation processes, enhancing Europe’s impact on international standardisation and bolstering its competitiveness in alignment with the European Strategy on Standardisation.

Standardisation in the Health Sector

In an era where healthcare is rapidly evolving, incorporating new technologies and appliances, standardisation has never been more critical. On 7 September 2023, from 3:00-5:00 PM (CEST), the HSbooster.eu project will hold a webinar titled “Standardisation in the Health Sector” to explore this subject. The session is set to delve into integrating standards in pivotal areas such as health informatics, artificial intelligence, risk management of health IT systems, and their alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These standards ensure consistency and reliability in healthcare practices and pave the way for innovations that can revolutionise patient care.

The webinar will offer many insights, from the significance of standards in 21st-century healthcare to the role of AI standards in creating a holistic healthcare approach. It will also address the challenges posed by the heterogeneity in healthcare data and how formal ontology can provide solutions. Furthermore, the event will highlight the importance of risk management standards in the ongoing digital transformation of healthcare. A panel discussion will allow attendees to engage with experts and delve deeper into these topics. As the healthcare sector stands on the brink of major technological advancements, understanding and implementing these standards will ensure quality, interoperability, and innovation in healthcare delivery.

Our role

COMMpla Srl, supported by its affiliated entity, Trust-IT, coordinates HSbooster.eu, drawing on their 15-year experience coordinating EC-funded projects. COMMpla and Trust-IT lead the project’s communication, dissemination, exploitation, and impact monitoring activities in this context. They have also contributed to the development of the HSbooster.eu Training Academy and co-organised the training sessions. These efforts include promoting the event and designing the graphic materials for branding and awareness-raising. The two companies also provided IT support for recording and playback options, along with management of the panel discussion and participant interaction. COMMpla and Trust-IT deeply leveraged their experience as coordinators of StandICT.eu 2023 and 2026, two funded projects under the H2020 and Horizon Europe programmes.
