Brief description

The EUDAT Collaborative Data Infrastructure enables European researchers and practitioners from any research discipline to preserve, find, access, and process data in a trusted environment. The CDI is one of the four major European research e-Infrastructues - a network of collaborating, cooperating centres, combining the richness of numerous community-specific data repositories with the permanence and persistence of some of Europe’s largest scientific data centres. During its life as an EU project, EUDAT worked with more than 30 scientific communities and built a suite of five integrated services – B2DROP, B2SHARE, B2SAFE, B2ACCESS & B2FIND – aiming at assisting them in resolving their grand challenges. In April 2018, EUDAT CDI became a legal entity with Trust-IT being retained as its marketing and communications agency.

Impact

Trust-IT ensures wide visibility for EUDAT across its priority communities. Since its shift as a sustainable e-Infrastructure, Trust-IT has been instrumental in maintaining a recognizeable brand within the field of research data management in Europe.

Results

The following have been achieved by EUDAT through Trust-IT's activities:

  • A growing audience of more than 5000 followers across its social media
  • Monthly multimedia content production involving videos, blogs, articles, and images
  • A media-rich service catalogue integrated with the European Open Science Cloud Marketplace
  • Visibility in at least five third-party events targeting relevant target research communities annually
  • Visibility at exhibitions including supply and design of branded booth, and distribution of promotional materials
  • Organisation of one major on-site event and at least one online event each engaging more than 100 participants annually.
